SHEKINAH CANDLES

Let There Be Light!

The background on the meaning of the word “Shekinah” & why it was chosen to be the name of my candle company:

If you have ever seen the movie, “The Ten Commandments” or read the story from the Bible, you'll remember that the Israelite people were finally set free and were able to begin their journey out of Egypt.

Exodus 13:20-22 states:

“So they took their journey [that is, the children of Israel] from Succoth and camped in Etham at the edge of the wilderness. And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.”  It was something that was always there.

This is why our signature scent here at Shekinah True scents is the “Shekinah Scent”...It is grey in color to symbolize the cloud which represents God’s leading and guidance on this company. It’s a fruity scent (pomegranate) and smells so good!! When I go into people’s homes to do an in-home show, I love to tell that story.

Lake Latonka Fall Festival

  • Lake Latonka 257 Latonka Drive Mercer, PA, 16137 United States (map)

The fall festival has grown into one of Mercer County’s most anticipated Summer events.  Over 100 area artisans, businesses, organizations, churches, schools, and charities are part of our Fall Festival each September (always the Saturday following Labor Day). Each booth has its own unique offerings that include crafts, products, information, activities, and food. The festival is an opportunity for artisans to sell their crafts, for businesses to network and publicize products and services, and for charities and non-profit organizations to aid their fund-raising efforts.

The Fall Festival also features entertainment by some very talented area musicians who donate their time and talents. When you get hungry, we offer a variety of foods and beverages… including park quality funnel cakes and our now famous hand made vegetable soup… at prices that aren’t inflated like some other area events. We prefer you get more for your money, and we prefer our vendors leave happy and profitable for the day.

The Fall Festival has been a Lake Latonka tradition for nearly 40 years! Parking and admission are still FREE! Save that parking money and join in our all-day raffle, where dozens of prizes worth more than $1,500 are given away every 15 minutes. Another great value is our Chinese Auction! There is something for everyone at the Fall Festival. This year the event will expand to two locations in the community, with more vendors and displays than ever before! We can’t wait to see you!
